Adoption Centre
Muse is a fickle beast, we understand! If you want a new character that already has a history/personality or simply have lost muse for one you currently own, the Adoption Center is the place for you. Here you may put up your unwanted characters for adoption or, if you yourself are looking for a new character, think about adopting one of these homeless cuties for your own.
I would like to put my character up for adoption. What do I need to do?
Simply note the group with the fav.me link to your character's currently accepted profile and we will add the character onto the adoption list for the herd it currently resides in.
When putting the character up for adoption, you must not delete the character's profile (at least not until the character has been adopted) so that potential adopters can use it as a reference.
Once the character is up for adoption, this cannot be reversed! There is a two month waiting period after a character has been surrendered. If it has not been adopted within these two months and you are interested, you may attempt re-adoption ownership of the character.
I would like to adopt a character! What do I need to do?
So, you've decided to take a character home! That's awesome! We love seeing these characters go back to being active!
Once you've found a character that you'd like to adopt, simply fill out a character profile form (found in the Character Creation journal) in a Sta.sh/Google Doc file and provide us with a short RP piece (minimum 500 words) with the character you are hoping to adopt. Art is not required but definitely not discouraged! After you've created both a new character profile and the RP sample, note the group with your adoption bid.

All characters are to be adopted on a first come, first serve basis.

In the event that multiple bids have been submitted for a character, we will give preference to the bid that seems to follow the history/personality of the character in its original form, to owners with no former Anomalous characters, or (for rarer characters) for owners who do not yet have such a character yet.

Adoptions can only be sent in once per month, to allow everyone a chance to adopt.

References MUST be completed and accepted into the group within sixty days (60) of the adoption date. Characters that have been adopted and have no reference past this date will be reclaimed to the group for re-adoption with a one week warning.

Characters adopted out of our adoption center require at least one roleplay with their new player to be eligible for breeding.

As a special 'thank you' from the group to those who decide to adopt, upon successful adoption/acceptance of the character's complete reference you will be awarded +50 Skill Points to apply to the adopted character's various skills. This boost cannot be transferred to another character and is only valid after the character's complete reference has been accepted!

Characters that have adoptions pending, aka Adoption notes in the group, will have ADOPTION PENDING next to them!
To make some of our older characters still looking for homes more tempting, all characters up for adoption since 2016 or 2017 now come with a Mutate reward! This Mutate reward cannot be transferred to another character and is only valid after the character's complete reference has been accepted!
